Tonight, an ordinary night turned into a extraordinary one.

While having the usual evening walk with Cody, he rushed over to a small pile of garbage (or so I thought) on the floor. While I was about to pull him along I tooked a closer look and saw that the “garbage” seems to be moving. At this point Cody was looking very excited so I got even closer and finally saw that it’s 2 baby birds and their nest (size about a tennis ball). One of them are on the floor while the other inside the nest. A few thoughts crossed my mind at this moment:

1. Keep walking
2. Tell the security guard nearby
3. Take them home

I quickly ruled out the first two because I worried they would be hurted/eaten by other animals. I also worried about the security guard throwing them away since they are on duty…As the trees are too tall there’s no way I can place them back, a pat on cody’s head saying “good job” then immediately rushed home (in my flip flops hahaha) Took a box, a pair of gardening gloves and some towels and rushed back. Thank god they were still there. Picked them up and now they are sleeping in the kitchen.

At closer look u can see they are so tiny and the feather is not fully grown yet…I just hope they can last until tomorrow morning so I can take them to the shelter. And let’s hope they don’t have bird flu
