Kyushu in film
I’ve finally gotten my act together for film photography. Oh boy and how much I miss it…

Kyushu ä¹å·ž- Day 4
Day 4, we practically had the morning to ourselves only as our plane was departing at 2pm. But the beauty of Hakata is you can taxi from the hotel to the airport in under 15min (unlike crazy tokyo which takes forever…)
We didn’t do much as we slept til 11am…then we went back to the fish market to grab some seafood.

Dropped off the stuff back at the hotel then we headed out for brunch. Some western food to prep our system haha

This photo is taken on the year that my mom is borned. It felt so surreal…

Smuggled these back and had hotpot that evening…

Good to be home. Cody is ready for school hahaha

All in all, it’s a very relaxing trip. I am glad we did it…now I want to do it one more time with bko…haha
drugstore skincare gem
yes, I am a drugstore skincare junkie as I am not a big believer of paying high price that goes into the marketing budget. Anyway, here are some latest discovery:

1. Sana pore vacuumer HK$65
This is especially designed for the nose. Once you cover your nose with it, use a little bit of water to massage and the gel would warm up…it claims to open up your pore and draw out the impurity. Tried it once tho I didn’t really feel as “vacuumy” as it should be but nose felt smoother afterward. However, I think I will just stick with the pore brightener below as the vacuumer is not as effective as I’d expected. (Thought it would be more heavy duty since it’s targeting the nose…the source of problem for most combination skin)
2. Seikisho pore brightener HK$130
This is similar to the pore vacuumer above but it’s designed for the entire face. Yet, no water is required as you just massaged it on your face til it turns from black to grey. The gel heats up a little and it comes with some fine scrub. Face feels smoother instantly and the hydrating mask works better afterward I think.
3. AquaMoist Hyaluronic Acid serum HK$135
I’ve actually been using Hyaluronic Acid (HA) since a few years back when I started DIY-ing my own skincare. HA is actually something that acts likes like a sponge and could suck up water as much as 1600 times of its own mass. The theory is that once you put this on your face, it will draw water into you skin. However, you have to be careful:
i. prep your skin before hand with moisturizing toner before putting it on. Afterward seal it with cream. This is to prevent it from drawing water from your own skin.
ii. Don’t use it at high concentration or it will actually do damage to your skin.
It’s so much cheaper to DIY but I got lazy. Will start doing it after I finished this bottle.
4. Nuxe Toning lotion with 3 roses HK$180
Found this brand while me and chrissy was in Paris years ago…I think she was going for their bodyoil which is another great product. Anyway, I’ve been using their toner religiously since it smells good and feels good. This is a newer version with more flower essence added. Sometimes I just soak this stuff up with a capsulated paper mask and turn it into a quick hydrating mask. Works really great especially during the summer.
