Once in a while I love browsing through etsy for one of a kind creation. Tho some of them are a little bit raw but it is the rawness which makes them extra unique. It warms up your heart with the thought people put into the whole experience, from friendly emails to pleasant packaging. It just puts a smile on your face.
Ordered these from TillyBloom and they arrived 1 week later.

Love the stamping she’s placed on the envelope.

Inside she’s included a thank you note, a introduction and also a tiny clothes for polishing the silver. And it’s all wrapped up with a page from an old book (my first reaction is to smell it. The smell of old book is really hard to explain)

What’s more, a tea bag was included as if she’s inviting me for a cup of tea.

Thanks for making my day!

Diesel is collaborating with alive not dead to jazz up the art scene in Hong Kong. I missed the exhibition for Wing Shya but managed to check out the new grand tour – 4 designers/ photographers/ illustrators took off to Yunnan Province and share their experience thru various media . I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Especially the making-of film and suitman’s project with the kids.
The shop keeper told me that they have more exciting exhibition coming up such as Terry Richardson and Michael Lau etc. Looking forward for it!
The new grand tour is ending this weekend so check it out before it closes.
Their marketing / branding scheme indeed worked and I later swung by the Diesel shop to check out their jeans.
Didn’t see anything I liked but bought a pair of earrings. The packaging caught my eyes.

The perforated box is just too perfect as an insect repellent. I proceed to fill it with lavender. Nice! *patting myself on the shoulder* wahahaha

After all these dodging-bullets-from-lomography years, I’ve been shot!
> Got my LC-A from Russia for USD80 (when lomo was selling them at USD180) in 1999
> Got my holga from Hong Kong for USD12 (when lomo was selling them at USD50+)in 2003
> Got my Diana+ from lomo for USD50 (when you can get an original version for USD30 + shipping) in 2007
So, for USD50 I can easily get the original version, why lomo?! The reason(s) are:
1. I didn’t bother waiting
2. Being a cheap plastic toy camera (sold at USD1 back in those days. Some even came as freebies), a lot of them don’t really hold up that well
3. New functions – long (b) exposure, pinhole, tripod mount etc etc
4. I didn’t bother waiting
Ok, guess I was more on the impatient side but I think it’s not a huge investment. Afterall, I’ve been “saving” so much by buying direct(bla bla bla). Funny that a lot of the original diana owners are bashing the picture “quality” of the new one, being a diana+ owner, I will just sit and laugh
My first roll of test film:

diana+, welcome to my family.

At home, our laundry is sorted into 3 groups:
1. White
2. Black
3. Color
Not a big fan for dryer. (except for towel & beddings or anything thick and heavy) I like air-drying them (if only I could hang them under the sun…) Not sure if it’s the virgo in me kicking in but when I see a bunch of white/black/color clothing hanging, there’s always this strange cheerfulness growing in my tummy. And I love to look at the color one the most.
Bko thought I was crazy when he saw me dashing out, grabbing my camera, dashing back then coming out with a silly grin on my face for the above picture. But I think color plays an important part in our lives.
Different color gives out different energy. In alternative therapy, people used color to balance out or harmonize the body.
Have you ever had a sudden urge of liking a particular color? That could be an indication that your body is needing that energy. So don’t be afraid if you suddenly want to wear your girlfriend’s shocking pink tee out of the blue. Don’t resist, listen to your body and go for it.
