It’s been another super hot weekend but my mood seems to be much better.
Friday: Went to Bicho with the crazy dudes and would recommend anyone who likes Japanese BBQ skewers. They managed to grill it just right, very hot and crispy on the outside but still juicy on the inside.
Sat: Met up with two cut babies (and their moms) with Tessa. Dimsum & Megan were super active and I really enjoyed playing with them.

My day started beatifully when Tessa lugged over the Harry Potter box set. Thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks girl. Now I only need to grab book 6 then I would be extremely happy.

Me and Tess crossing the harbour in “style” wahahahaha

Mommies talk and babies talk

Parents would do ANYTHING to make the kid smile
When I got home, I found a package from Tori…I love love love getting package and she gave me a little pressie too. I love you girl~~~~~~~

My beloved powerbook sleeves from Timbuk2. Why can’t we get something like this in Hong Kong?! Look at the outter pattern plus the corduroy lining. I am in heaven~~~~

Pressie from Tori…Muah!
Afterward, went out for mom’s birthday dinner (again) and saw Transformers. I think the plot is really not put together well but it is certainly a very entertaining movie with all the transforming and stuff
Sun: Had lunch at Wagyu with Steven, Gigi & Maria. Was kind of surprise how good it is. I am really happy that there are a lot more decent breakfast place in Hong Kong.
Did a portrait session for a couple in the afternoon and it was great fun (but hard work). Glad they are a really funny couples so dispite the heat we managed to pull it off.
Then finally sam & maria came over for dinner while chef koby prepared the very yummy dinner. And once again I’ve made the world best pavlova. Thanks Waisie who gave me this foolproof recipe.

For anyone who’s interested to try, here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
4 ounces Castor Sugar (don’t forget to consult your friend Jamie Oliver for the conversions!)
4 egg whites (make sure threre is NO egg yolk!!)
1.5 teaspoons of Corn Flour
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
0.5 teaspoons of malt vinegar
strawberries/blueberries/raspberries(whatever fruit you like!)
whipping cream (enough to cover the top of the pavlova!i can’t remember how much was in that smal thing i got last time!)
1. Set the oven to gas mark 2 (although this was a bit too high for an electric oven, so maybe try gas mark 1.5- ask Jamie again)
1. Whisk half the sugar (2 oz) and the 4 egg whites together until stiff
2. Fold (or whisk) in the remaining sugar, corn flour, vanilla essence and vinegar until well mixed in.
3. Put mixture onto baking tray and bake in the oven for 45-60 minutes. Do not open the oven during this time
4. When the time is up, turn off the oven and leave the pavlova inside for about 20-30 minutes and then remove onto a cooling rack
5. Whip the cream until the desired texture and cut up the fruit for the topping.
6. Deocrate the pavlova (using the pipe for the cream if you like la!) and serve! =)
