the art of time wasting

Yesterday when I try jumpstarting my lovely motorbike (which I haven’t ride forever), I found the leather seat has mold on it!!! Must be due to the rainy season earlier. It’s so gross!!! And sadly the jumpstart cable did not function and my bike is still dead. ARGGGGGH!!!!!!! I promise to take better care of you Volty…I won’t like you rot!

These two days I have been super unproductive. All I’ve been doing is playing NDS. It’s bad!!!!!! But I am really hooked on this game called 押忍!戰斗!應援團! (Elite Beat Agents is the English version). Actually the concept is similar to those drum games where you have to follow the beat. But they’ve packaged it in a very wierd way which makes it that much more interesting.

Basically there is this cheerleading group where they go around town to lift people spirit so they can achieve their goals. The wierdness about this is that the cheerleaders are a group of man who do all these manly postures to cheer you up in a really loud and comical way (apparently they existed in Japan).

Here’s a clip of me playing. Make sure you turn on your volume:

shopaholic diary cont’

Haven’t been writing much about my skincare & cosmetic recommendation. Partly because I was using stuffs I made and partly nothing’s excited in the market. But that won’t hold for long.

Some bath products I’ve got from Bangkok earlier:

1. Harnn Lavendar Sugar Body Polish Oil Gel
This is a really mild and nourishing bodyscrub. The texture is totally wierd because it does indeed sit inbetween a scrub and a gel. The scrubing action is extra mild since it’s using sugar. It’s added vitamin E & rice oil gives you that extra nourishment.

2. Harnn Oriental Herb Bath Salt & Oil
I am hooked on lemongrass and these products are infused with Lemongrass, Kaffir Lime, Basil & ginger. Great products especially for the summer for its mild antiseptic & enhance circulation features.

1. Sothys Hydroptimale® THI3 Mask
I’ve been searching high and low for a great hydration mask and finally I came across this. A brand with a lot of reputation in the professional arena but I was a bit put off by the fragrance they put in it. Fortunately this mask is relatively gentle in the smell department and the hydrating action is superb. To make the full use of it I would massage the mask into my skin after 5-8 minutes idle time, slap on my usual lotion and viola! Your face is plumped instantly! I am planning to try to Hydroptimale® THI3 Intensive Serum from the same series because my skin seems to be immute from Jurlique’s recover gel. You can order it online from the skinstore.com. Register and you’ll receive coupon from them every now and then!

2. Shiseido Maquillage lip gloss
A shimmering lipgloss with a really attractive price tag. Basically this is a drugstore brand in Japan and for around US18 you’ll get yourself a nice shimmering lipgloss that can be wore by itself for that natural gloss or on top of your favorite lipstick to add more drama. I like it because it doesn’t give me that stickiness I hate.

3. DIY facial hair remover
This is the best deal I’ve came across so far. Forget about tweezing til your eyes are crossed – for US$2 only you can buy a little gizmo to remove your facial hair. It’s based on the string tweezing concept from ancient Chinese. The bonus is you can do it anytime anywhere without the need of a mirror. (i.e. watching TV hahahaaha)

That’s it for now. Happy shopping~
