What is it like in Hoikkaido

Teaser for our trip. To be honest I didn’t take enough photos or clip but you get the idea. I think we would definitely go back for some more snowboarding in Niseko. Highly recommended!!! :D

spiritual world

Sorting out the trip photos and will post more soon. I think Niseko could possibly become a once a year (at least) destination for us. And after years of skiing, I am loving snowboarding~

Recently, I am really interested in getting in touch with the spiritual side of me. But I don’t mean to get in touch with the holy ghost or fortune telling. I think it’s more like exploring the subconscious level for oneself.

It all started from me enrolling in a tarot course earlier this year. The thing about tarot is it’s not really a fortune telling tool. It’s more like an instrument that helps you get in touch with the subconscious mind, which helps you understand the underlying issues for your problems. I’ve been doing a few readings for a couple of friends and it turned out to be quite an interesting experience. If you are interested for a reading, let me know. :)

I am also interested in studying animal communications. To be honest I don’t really believe in communicating with dead animal. But if I could communicate with living animals, it could really help me to understand them a lot more. Everyone is supposed to be able to do it but we have lost this ability in this civilised world.

And from there, it got me looking into Reiki “霊気”. This is something similar to Qi “æ°£” for Chinese. You might wonder why I chose to look into reiki instead of qi. The main reason is because reiki put emphasis on healing with the existing energy from the universe instead of from yourself. Anyway, I would like to find out more before I comment further. But I guess the chaotic events in the world had really forced us to look beyond the surface for that inner peace.

Not sure if I am making any sense here…:P But need to try doing mediation everyday from now.

p.s. to be good to the world, we’ve got ourselves a recycle bin and I’ve been carrying my own shopping bag. But it’s nothing compare to Niseko – they have 7 categories for recycling.

Happy Chinese New Year of Pig

Back from my holiday with a cold. I don’t understand why people in cold places like to crank up their heater…

More to come later. :)

All dogs go to heaven

abbey1.jpg

Thank you for everyone’s blessing. I am feeling better now and I know I must learn to let go so Abbey will not hang around and not move on to the next happy stage. Thanks to Daisy for letting me what Abbey thinks (Now I am really interested in getting to know more about animal communications.)

Thanks a lot to Bubi for drawing a little story about Abbey. It brings tears to my eyes but at the same time, there’s this little heart warming feeling somewhere in there. Read it at http://www.milkjar.com/story_abbey.htm

Life goes on. Here are some random pictures for the last little while:

Got this hot water in London Soho and saved my life in the bone chilling days.

Remember the little herbal corner I built? I love making warm honey water with fresh mint to nourish up those super dry days.

The Japanese version instant noodle simply tasted better for some strange reasons. Got the sesame pork soup based one days after…

Just an update letting you know I haven’t given up aromatherapy. I am still blending my own moisturiser. While I’ve been using way too much rose, I’ve blended a sandlewood, gernanium with jojoba, squalene & rose hip oil. Lots of pampering and balancing.

McD did it right this time. While I was not interested in their “softhard” Chinese horoscope, they’ve launched the sanrio toy series for the Happy Meal. Got Kuromi by chance while bko got me Tabo later. Check them out now. I know someone who had all McD over the weekend to get them all. You know who you are hehehe

On the way home from work…see you later office block.

Another Hong Kong local delicacy – Their scramble egg with corn beef sandwich is simply out of this world. They are so busy that we now ended up ordering take out and eat in the car.

No one can resist Fafi…not me anyway…she’s collaborating with Le Sportsac now.

Little shopping spree at the semi-new Alessi shop in Prince’s Building

Don’t forget to grab those nice candles in Lane Crawford as they are now 50% off :)

here comes the sun
the beatles

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it’s all right

Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it’s all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it’s all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes…

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it’s all right
It’s all right
