Saw Maroon 5 on Wednesday with Wendy and Wase. Quite happy to have a girl night out, thanks bko!! :) The concert was a bit short but I guess they don’t have that many songs given they’ve only got 2 albums. But I was happy when “She will be loved” was played at the very end but we still managed to catch the first Airport Express out.

On Friday we had our house warming. Thank you guys for showing up with all the gifts for Cody. I was really bad for not remembering to take pictures until the bulk of people left. @.@ I highly recommend Baby Cakes‘ cupcake – not too sweet and they use high quality ingredient. Very yummy!

Later that night we went to Black Sheep in Shek O for dinner. The place was really wierd with random deco tho the food is actually quite good. But we probably won’t be going back because the service wasn’t that great plus the deco is REALLY not our cup of tea.

On Sat, Wendy & Kin were so nice to arrange an outing for Cody to Tai O with Po & Karen too. Too bad it was all rainy so we ended up going to Stanley. Which wasn’t bad afterall (as it started to pour buckets after we finished lunch. Imagine if we were in Tai O….) Afterward all the girls went for a foot massage where I literally felt asleep. I definitely think I should cut my gym membership and join yoga again because it helped me combat with all my body aching and stiffness.

Later that night we ventured out to Tze Wan Shan for Chiu Chow food in this very local setting. The food is good and for 6 people it only costed $512!! What a bargain!!

On Sunday I went to my reiki class while bko stayed home watching his beloved F1. Later that night I bought strawberry and icecream to parents for dinner and met up with their newly adopted family member – Magic. Magic is a 5 years old schnauzer who has been abandoned 4 times by irresponsible owners. Mom was only planning to keep him until someone adopts him but I think mom is actually to going keep him forever hahaha He’s actually a very sweet doggie but he has problem when it comes to being separated from the owner (i.e. when mom & dad go out) I think this is all because of his bad experience.

Hi Magic!

Also, I would like to tell the world for the longest time that I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!! Chris is 3 months pregnant with possibly a boy (they wouldn’t be sure until 4 months) I actually knew about this awhile ago but I had to keep my mouth shut because my sister wanted to wait until he stablised. (Tho I’ve been telling a few people…..shhhhh) I am just so pleased about all this. I can’t believe I am going to be an aunt!!! *dance dance dance*

Can’t imagine chrissy turning into a mom soon. Love u!

On Monday we mainly chilled and ran some errands to wrap up the holiday. In the afternoon Cody had his 2nd and possibly his last training session with Mack, which only lasted 30 mins because he is already a well behaved dog. Thank you Mack for your great patience and thank you Cody for being such a good sport. I love you so much!

Later that night we brought Cody to east Soho (Lei King Bay) to dine with Sunny & Wincy. So many dogs and their owners were having dinner there too. I am especially fond of a poodle we met there. He just sat on the chair by himself without making a fuss. When we finally drew a conclusion that he’s afraid of height he jumped and followed his owners to the car when they finished dinner. So well behave!!!

what color do you fancy today?

R1004678.jpg

At home, our laundry is sorted into 3 groups:
1. White
2. Black
3. Color

Not a big fan for dryer. (except for towel & beddings or anything thick and heavy) I like air-drying them (if only I could hang them under the sun…) Not sure if it’s the virgo in me kicking in but when I see a bunch of white/black/color clothing hanging, there’s always this strange cheerfulness growing in my tummy. And I love to look at the color one the most.

Bko thought I was crazy when he saw me dashing out, grabbing my camera, dashing back then coming out with a silly grin on my face for the above picture. But I think color plays an important part in our lives.

Different color gives out different energy. In alternative therapy, people used color to balance out or harmonize the body.

Have you ever had a sudden urge of liking a particular color? That could be an indication that your body is needing that energy. So don’t be afraid if you suddenly want to wear your girlfriend’s shocking pink tee out of the blue. Don’t resist, listen to your body and go for it. :P

food, lots of them

Grabbed these dried figs from Wing On, mainly because Chrissy was in love with them. It quickly became my office nibbles too because I like the chewiness from the flesh and crispiness from the seeds. Yummy. Apparently it’s a good digestive aid plus helps to cleanse out the toxin from your body. A very very good snack.

Havent’ had sandwiches from Mandarin Oriental for a while but they are still as good as I remembered. It’s so far the best sandwich in Central.

Finally got the chance to try out the famous local delicacy “chick sponge cake” in North Point. To be honest it’s not as good as I would imagine but it’s really fresh and crispy. Suggest you to go get it after 9pm to avoid the long line up.

A pic of “possibly” the last time seeing this rubic cube in perfect. Read about some algorithms on youtube on solving it so hopefully it would help.

Bon Bon Bon is now moved to Pottinger Street. I am glad they finally have a shop and it’s amazing they managed to find this unique building. I love shopping there because they always stocked the best of the best ingredients and you can be sure you are buying quality food, despite the fact that they are sometimes a bit more pricy than elsewhere.

R1004667.jpg
Didn’t have any shopping list but ended up getting some dried date & longan for making simple nourishment for this dried weather, pack of Japanese gelatine for some homemade Jelly, a bottle of fish soup from france and some Himalayan pink salt (seduced by tommy’s murray river pink). Tommy you know what, I am also using Maldon sea salt at home too :)

R1004663.jpgWhen walking back to the office, I noticed Christmas decoration is up already. Time flies and I still can’t believe it’s year end already.

Huge success for making hungarian beef stew for the first time. For recipe please click on the western cuisine link on the right menu.

spiritual world

Sorting out the trip photos and will post more soon. I think Niseko could possibly become a once a year (at least) destination for us. And after years of skiing, I am loving snowboarding~

Recently, I am really interested in getting in touch with the spiritual side of me. But I don’t mean to get in touch with the holy ghost or fortune telling. I think it’s more like exploring the subconscious level for oneself.

It all started from me enrolling in a tarot course earlier this year. The thing about tarot is it’s not really a fortune telling tool. It’s more like an instrument that helps you get in touch with the subconscious mind, which helps you understand the underlying issues for your problems. I’ve been doing a few readings for a couple of friends and it turned out to be quite an interesting experience. If you are interested for a reading, let me know. :)

I am also interested in studying animal communications. To be honest I don’t really believe in communicating with dead animal. But if I could communicate with living animals, it could really help me to understand them a lot more. Everyone is supposed to be able to do it but we have lost this ability in this civilised world.

And from there, it got me looking into Reiki “霊気”. This is something similar to Qi “æ°£” for Chinese. You might wonder why I chose to look into reiki instead of qi. The main reason is because reiki put emphasis on healing with the existing energy from the universe instead of from yourself. Anyway, I would like to find out more before I comment further. But I guess the chaotic events in the world had really forced us to look beyond the surface for that inner peace.

Not sure if I am making any sense here…:P But need to try doing mediation everyday from now.

p.s. to be good to the world, we’ve got ourselves a recycle bin and I’ve been carrying my own shopping bag. But it’s nothing compare to Niseko – they have 7 categories for recycling.
